1957
Therapedic is founded, with its first factory in Elizabeth, NJ. Innovative new products and unique retailer support programs attract more new factories.
1966
Therapedic patents Triple Edge®, world’s first and only anti-sag border system…the heart of its Medi-Coil® flagship premium line.
1968
Therapedic patents its Medi-Coil Posture Control 4-way Adjustable Mattress, with 4 degrees of firmness.
1971
Therapedic patents Perma-Grip, worlds first and only non-rip mattress handle for faster and easier bed turning, moving and lifting.
1987
Therapedic launches its unique Posture Tone, Body Balanced Boxspring, with exclusive Border Guard edge bracer system.
1988
Therapedic introduces the “sleep fit” concept with spokesperson Denise Austin, worlds famous TV fitness celebrity.
1992
Therapedic markets its patented Tri-tec total spring support system, with 3 different spring designs for levelized, edge-to-edge support.
1993
Therapedic earns the coveted Mattress Design Award, for engineering innovation, quality and value.
1996
Therapedic introduces Medi-Coil Prism 660… the big new edge in high profile high coil-count innovation. Featuring Triple Edge anti sag border rod control.
2001
Pure Touch the all natural rubber latex mattresses are released. The mattress line harkens back to the quality and cushioning materials of yesteryear, and becomes an immediate hit with consumers.
2002
Therapedic releases the new Innergy line, which features an interact coil construction that reduces motion transfer on the mattress surface, and improves spinal support by up to 36% over the leading innerspring mattress sets.
2003
Lloyd & Penfield is released. The ultra premium line features four different models — in four distinct comforts — at one price.
2004
Therapedic introduces its all new visco elastic mattress line, MemoryTouch.
2005
Therapedic unveils its new corporate logo design and begins utilizing the logo as its signature on all marketing materials. Therapedic revolutionizes its latex mattress line, PureTouch, with the exclusive 7-zone latex core.
2006
Therapedic releases its new Kathy Ireland Home line, designed in conjunction with Kathy Ireland and her design team. The line features mattresses that are designed for families.especially busy moms, with features and benefits that make selecting a new sleep set easy, and worry-free.
2007
Therapedic introduces its new, adjustable air mattress line, AirTouch. The AirTouch mattresses feature an adjustable mattress core, which has six distinct support zones – three for each sleeper, unlike any other in the industry.
50 Years of Innovation.
2009
Therapedic launches the ‘Hourglass Back Supporter’ feature in the Backsense collection. This primary insulator offers 18% more support in the shoulder and hip areas and 13% more support in the lower back area
